Action E-mail Variables

Use the following variables to format action e-mails for incidents, problems, projects, CSIs and failure analyses.

These variables related to incident action records can be used in any of the following e-mail formats:

Using Detail Variables

The following variables allow you to include information from details in your action e-mails. (See Managing Details.) They can be used in the formats listed in the preceding sections for each record type.

  • Current action. To include one or more details from the current action, use %DTX.
  • Parent records. To include one or more details from parent records, use %IDTX (incident), %RDTX (problem), %PDTX (project), %CDTX (CSI) and %FDTX (failure analysis).

For each of these variables, you'll need to specify X, the detail type ID. (See Using Detail Type IDs to find this number).
