Using Reports as Web Data Sources
If you have specialized reporting requirements that are not directly supported in XFRACAS, you can create a data link for use in external applications such as Power BI and Excel.
You’ll need the following permission for this task: Report Builder - Access Report Builder
- In Options > Report Builder, create a custom report with XSLT selected as the display format in the Output section.
- In Home > Reports, click the link to the report you just created. This should open a new tab that displays the report data in XML format.
- In the address bar of the new tab, copy the URL.
To use the data in Power BI, Excel, etc., choose the Web option when specifying a data source and paste the URL into the application.
