Upgrading an Enterprise Database from a Previous Version
If you have an existing enterprise database that was created in Version 11 or later of the ReliaSoft applications, you can transfer or convert all of the existing data into a new database that is compatible with the latest version.
All of the same requirements for creating a new enterprise database apply here (e.g., you must have an established database server and the necessary permissions to create a database on the server). In addition, you must be a member of the Admin group in the database to perform the task.
Upgrading an enterprise database will also upgrade any library files and/or templates that are stored within that database.
Tip: If you need to be able to upgrade an enterprise database without using a ReliaSoft desktop application (i.e., without taking up one of the available license seats), you can access this same feature from the ReliaSoft Admin tool.
Upgrading from Version 11 or Above
It is strongly recommended that you create a backup of the enterprise database to be upgraded. The upgrade process converts the database itself to the latest version. This change cannot be undone.
To upgrade the database, choose File > Manage Database > Upgrade Enterprise Database.
In the window, specify the enterprise database that you wish to upgrade. Click OK to start the process.
