Introduction to Lambda Predict
When actual product life data is not available, standards based reliability prediction may be used to evaluate design feasibility, compare design alternatives, trade-off system design factors and track reliability improvement.
ReliaSoft Lambda Predict by Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer Inc. supports failure rate and MTBF predictions based on the major reliability prediction standards, including MIL-HDBK-217, Bellcore/Telcordia, FIDES, NSWC Mechanical and Siemens SN 29500.* The software offers a full set of supporting tools, including easy-to-use component library functionality, a reliability allocation utility and derating analysis.
Lambda Predict is also part of the suite of ReliaSoft desktop applications, which offers intelligent integration between reliability program activities and tools, while simultaneously facilitating effective information sharing and cooperation between engineering teams of any size.
