Siemens Predictions

For general information about using the prediction folio for any type of standard (e.g., how to create folios, build system configurations, etc.), see Prediction Folios.

The Siemens SN 29500 standard provides reliability prediction models for electronic and electromechanical components. It consists of 12 sections, which provide expected values as follows:

  • Section 1x: General (issued January 2004)
  • Section 2: Integrated circuits (issued September 2010)
  • Section 3: Discrete semiconductors (issued June 2009)
  • Section 4: Passive components (issued March 2004)
  • Section 5: Electrical connections, electrical connectors and sockets (issued June 2004)
  • Section 7: Relays (issued November 2005)
  • Section 9: Switches and buttons (issued November 2005)
  • Section 10: Signal and pilot lamps (issued December 2005)
  • Section 11: Contactors (issued April 2015)
  • Section 12: Optical components (issued February 2008)
  • Section 15: Electromechanical protection devices in low voltage networks (issued October 2014)
  • Section 16: Electromechanical pushbuttons, signaling devices and position switches in low voltage networks (issued August 2010)
