Import Phases

The Import Phases window allows you to import phases that have already been defined in another database. Note that you can also use the Import FIDES Settings window to import phases, if desired. The difference is that the Import Phases window allows you to see the full details for the phases that can be imported; whereas the Import FIDES Settings window displays only the names.

To access the Import Phases window, open the Manage Database Phases window then click the Import Phases icon.

A bar near the top of the window allows you to specify the database that contains the settings you wish to copy. Click the arrow to select from a list of recently accessed databases or click the browse button (…) to select any standard database (*.rsr23) or enterprise database connection file (*.rserp). The table under this bar will display all of the saved FIDES phases that are stored in the selected database.

Select the check boxes for the phases you want to copy, and then click OK. Note that this is a one-time transfer of data from one database to another. If you later modify the settings in the original database; the changes will not affect any settings that have already been copied into other database(s).
